Here is my dresser transformation. My labor of love. This was an old oak dresser that has been completely transformed from its drab old wood, to a french beauty. It was a long process with many late nights, freezing in the garage trying to finish before we moved! I still need to paint the mirror that I plan to hang above it, but I am SO happy with the results! I chose to use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, because it came highly recommended for its ease of use. The color is French Linen. I was looking for a grey that was not blue at all and this color has more of a taupe-grey cast to it. I love, love, love the color! As far as "ease of use" I found this paint to be more difficult to work with than regular latex paint, but the color made it worth the extra work. The wax that is recommended to be used with the paint is a TOTAL hassle. If you ever use Annie Sloan paint I would skip the wax, unless you need to weather resist your project. The wax is supposed to seal the paint and give it a little gloss, but I think the beauty of the paint is that its matte!
